Public Sector Property & Surveying
Before joining Niyaa People as a Trainee in 2017, Kane was a Mechanical Engineer for a global engineering group. He’d been looking for a change in career and was applying to graduate roles when an agency put him forward for a role in recruitment; as they say, the rest is history.
Kane is now a consultant specialising in all Property, Surveying and Development recruitment for Public Sector bodies and Housing Associations.
What’s your time been like at Niyaa People so far?
“I’ve settled in really well and realised very quickly that the industry suited me perfectly after making the leap into the unknown from my previous job. I’ve been brilliantly mentored, hit my targets and been part of some really cool incentives!”
What do you like about your desk?
“The candidates I deal with are all knowledgeable, very smart professionals. I have good relationships with them all and we have complete transparency with each other which I feel is extremely important to effectively work together. The market place is changing rapidly so the trends on what each client wants based on current events keeps me on my toes and encourages me to research and attend local events.”
What advice would you give to someone coming into recruitment?
“Keep your head down and work hard from the start. Be a sponge and soak up all the information you can, follow the process and you’ll be absolutely fine.”
