Newark-on-Trent 20 - 22 per hour Contract

We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Estates Officer / Street Warden to join a busy housing team based in Newark.
You’ll act as the eyes and ears of the council across local estates, carrying out inspections, engaging with residents and reporting issues to help keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well managed.
Key duties:
The role is based in Newark and involves travelling across estates and neighbourhoods in the local area. A company van is provided, so you’ll need to be confident driving and comfortable travelling between locations during the working day.

- Estate and neighbourhood inspections
- Engage with residents and report concerns
- Identify repairs, ASB, fly-tipping and environmental issues
- Check communal areas and vacant properties
- Litter picking and minor DIY/maintenance
- Maintain records and escalate issues
- Customer-facing experience
- Reliable, dependable and comfortable working outdoors
- Good communication and community engagement skills
- Practical/DIY ability
- Full UK driving licence and confident driving a van
- £20–£22 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience
- Initial 6-month contract with potential to extend
- Company van provided
- Immediate interviews and quick start
