We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Neighbourhood Support Assistant to join a busy housing team based in Newark.
You’ll act as the eyes and ears of the council across local estates, carrying out inspections, engaging with residents and reporting issues to help keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well managed.
Key Duties
Carry out estate and neighbourhood inspections
Engage positively with residents and report concerns
Identify and report repairs, ASB, fly-tipping and environmental issues
Check communal areas and vacant properties
Carry out litter picking and minor DIY/maintenance tasks
Maintain accurate records and escalate issues where required
Support the wider housing team with day-to-day neighbourhood management
What We’re Looking For
Customer-facing experience
Reliable, dependable and comfortable working outdoors
Good communication and community engagement skills
Practical/DIY ability
Full UK driving licence
Confident driving a van
What’s on Offer
£20–£22 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience
Initial 6-month contract, with potential to extend
