Take on a temporary contract as a Gold Card Electrician, carrying out first- and second-fix electrical work on kitchen rewires across Burton upon Trent. This is an immediate opportunity offering around £26 per hour, with several weeks of work available and a further requirement throughout September.
You’ll be working mainly within occupied or refurbished kitchens as part of an established programme completing around five kitchens per week. A quick start is preferred to allow for a handover with the existing team before planned holiday cover.
I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Gold Card Electrician, Domestic Electrician or Installation Electrician, particularly within kitchen rewires or planned refurbishment programmes.
As a Gold Card Electrician, you will be:
Completing first-fix electrical work on kitchen rewires
Carrying out second-fix installations and connections
Working to a programme of approximately five kitchens per week
Identifying and reporting electrical defects or safety concerns
Using your own tools and electrical testing equipment
Working in line with BS 7671 and current health and safety requirements
Coordinating with the site team to keep works on schedule
I’d love to speak to any Gold Card Electrician who has:
A valid JIB/ECS Gold Card – essential
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing – desirable
AM2 qualification – desirable
Strong first- and second-fix electrical experience
Experience with domestic kitchen rewires or planned refurbishment work preferred
Own tools, tester and necessary equipment
Reliable transport
