I am working with an exciting and well established company who are in search of a Quantity Surveyor to join their team to work on a £10m project in the Torquay area. This project will be a New Build project so experience in this area will be essential as well as a good understanding of working with a large team and a variation of contractors at one time. This organisation can offer support with qualifications, progression opportunities and a lucrative package overall.

The salary for this role is £60k-£70k.

Skills needed in the Quantity Surveyor role:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships
Ability to work under pressure and use your initiative
New build experience is required
strong maths knowledge numerical and data analysis
analytical thinking and a creative approach to problem solving
Design and build experience is essential

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role:

Preparing subcontract enquiries and order documentation
Prepare and manage key and large-risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts
Ensure company health and safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the team
Perform estimations in a timely and professional manner
Self-starter and ability to work on own initiative and bring added value to the project team
Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations
