We're working with a well-established social housing provider in South Wales who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor to join their team. This permanent position offers hybrid working, combining home-based work with site visits across the local area, supporting the investigation and resolution of damp, mould, and property condition concerns.
This Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor role is offering:
Salary in the region of £42,000£47,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Permanent contract working 37 hours per week.

Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor:
Investigating reports of damp, mould and condensation within occupied homes.
Undertaking disrepair inspections and preparing clear schedules of remedial works.
Identifying root causes and specifying appropriate long-term solutions.
Ensuring works comply with housing standards, HHSRS and relevant legislation.
Working closely with contractors to monitor quality and progress of remedial works.
Providing clear explanations and updates to residents throughout the process.
Supporting complaint resolution and reducing repeat issues.
Skills needed for the Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor position:
Strong experience inspecting and diagnosing building defects.
Practical understanding of damp, mould, condensation and ventilation issues.
Ability to produce clear technical reports and schedules of works.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approach.
Qualifications needed for the Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor role:
Relevant building, surveying or construction qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
Knowledge of housing standards and disrepair processes.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
