I’m currently working with a social housing provider who are looking to appoint a Lead Surveyor (Damp, Mould and Condensation) on a permanent basis.
This Lead Surveyor role is offering: • Salary of £51,842 per annum • Permanent contract • Full-time position • Travel required – full clean driving licence essential
The Lead Surveyor will take ownership of complex damp and mould cases across the housing stock, leading a team of surveyors and ensuring all works relating to damp and mould are managed effectively and in line with compliance standards. The Lead Surveyor will oversee investigations, diagnosis and remedial programmes, ensuring surveyor reports are technically robust and customer focused.
Key duties of the Lead Surveyor include: • Leading and supervising a technical surveyor team • Managing multiple building projects linked to damp and mould • Ensuring compliance with HHSRS and housing legislation • Monitoring contractor performance against Schedule of Rates • Overseeing Health & Safety requirements including CDM • Supporting performance management within the surveyor team • Identifying asbestos and managing associated risks
To be successful in this Lead Surveyor position, you will need: • Proven experience operating as a Surveyor within housing • Strong technical knowledge of damp, mould and building pathology • Detailed understanding of HHSRS and compliance requirements • Experience managing cases through housing systems such as Cx • A proven track record delivering multiple technical projects • A formal building qualification (RICS accredited, BSc, HNC or HND) • Strong organisational and decision-making skills • Confidence using Microsoft packages and Outlook • A full and clean UK driving licence
