£175 per week on-call payment on a 1 in 4 rota

Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer duties
Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault finding
Completing plumbing and gas repairs across commercial sites
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Installing pipework, TMVs, water heaters, and plumbing systems
Commissioning and testing commercial heating and hot water systems
Completing servicing, inspections, and compliance checks
Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs
Supporting mechanical refurbishment projects
Updating records using mobile and tablet systems
Working safely within school and public sector environments
Supporting wider compliance and remedial works alongside mechanical and electrical teams
Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer requirements
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
Commercial and Domestic Gas qualifications including:
CCN1
CENWAT
CODNCCO1
CDGA1
CIGA1
Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3)
Minimum two years’ experience within a similar role
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience carrying out fault finding and remedial works
Good communication and client-facing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
IT competent using handheld or tablet systems
Desirable experience
Experience working within schools or public buildings
Electrical safety awareness
IPAF or PASMA
OFTEC
Experience working on oil-fired systems
Air source or AC knowledge
Working hours and overtime
Full-time role working 40 hours per week
Expected on site from 8:00am daily
Earlier starts may be required depending on client requirements
Time and a half after 6:00pm Monday to Friday
Time and a half on Saturdays until 12:00pm
Double time after 12:00pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday
Weekend and out-of-hours call-outs paid door-to-door
