We're looking for a proactive Lead Housing Officer to oversee a small team of Housing Officers and collaborate closely with care providers and landlords. This is a pivotal role where you'll ensure housing services are delivered effectively, voids are minimised, and tenancy sustainment is prioritised. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Leading and supporting Housing Officers across their patches as the Lead Housing Officer
Working in partnership with care providers to ensure high-quality tenancy management
Liaising with landlords to ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
Managing property voids efficiently to minimise downtime
Handling housing management tasks including sign-ups, inspections, and low-level ASB
Overseeing enhanced housing benefit processes and claims
Working independently with a strong initiative to meet team and organisational goals
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in supported housing, ideally in a leadership or senior role such as a Lead Housing Officer
Knowledge and experience handling enhanced housing benefit
Confident in working with external partners, including care providers and landlords
A proactive and organised approach to managing your own workload
Strong knowledge of tenancy management and relevant housing legislation
