Based within a temporary accommodation unit in Coventry (CV1), you'll be working with individuals facing homelessness, including those with drug and alcohol support needs. This is a full-time fixed-term contract running until March 2026.
As a Housing Support Officer, you'll be responsible for conducting sign-ups, managing rent accounts, delivering intensive housing management, and supporting vulnerable clients to sustain their tenancies. You will work closely with external agencies to provide tailored support and move-on plans. We are very keen to speak to Housing Support Officers who have experience working within temporary accommodation, supported housing, homelessness services, or similar settings.
The role is Monday to Friday, 9am5pm, based fully on-site in Coventry. Due to the nature of the role, previous experience in a similar housing support officer role is essential.
We are very keen to speak to Housing Support Officers who have experience supporting homeless people, ex-offenders, and those with substance misuse issues. If you hold any of the following qualifications, that would be a bonus: CIH Level 2 or 3, Health and Social Care, or Safeguarding training but these are not essential.
