We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Officer to join the Homeless Prevention Service of a Housing Association in Worcester. This is a vital role supporting individuals with a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse, and complex needs, helping them to maintain stable accommodation and rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Support Officer:
Directly supervise a team of five Support Workers, offering guidance, supervision, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring all client support is delivered effectively and efficiently.
Ensure the service is meeting targets and outcomes set by commissioners, preparing regular reports and data as required.
Contribute to the delivery of person-centred support plans for individuals with a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse, mental health issues, and other complex needs.
What we'd love to see from you:
Previous experience working within the homelessness, supported housing, or substance misuse sectors is essential. Experience with former rough sleepers or vulnerable adults with complex needs is highly desirable.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required prior to appointment.
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred, with the ability to lead and develop a small team effectively.
